1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not access your Google password.
  • Usage Data: We track session durations and feature usage to improve the service. This data is anonymized and aggregated.
  • Payment Information: Payment details are processed securely by our third-party payment partners (Dodo Payments). We never store your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials on our servers.

2. Lightweight & Privacy-Focused Design

Interview Cursor is designed with a minimal system footprint to give you a clean, distraction-free practice experience:

  • Screen Share Friendly: Interview Cursor uses an advanced overlay technology that won’t interfere with your workflow or clutter your screen sharing sessions on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or any other platform.
  • Minimal System Presence: The application is designed to be lightweight and unobtrusive. It runs quietly without cluttering your taskbar (Windows) or Dock (macOS), keeping your desktop clean and organized.
  • Low Resource Usage: Interview Cursor is engineered for minimal CPU and memory impact. It runs efficiently in the background without slowing down your system or other applications.
  • No Visual Clutter: The application runs without creating unnecessary system tray icons, notification badges, or desktop shortcuts. It provides a distraction-free environment so you can focus on your practice.
  • Clean Interface: Unlike some tools that overlay watermarks, badges, or obtrusive indicators, Interview Cursor provides a clean, minimal interface that doesn’t distract from your preparation.

3. Data We Never Collect or Sell

We want to be entirely transparent about what we do not do:

  • We never track your browsing activity outside of Interview Cursor.

4. End-to-End Encryption

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS 1.3 encryption. Your account credentials are protected by AWS Cognito with enterprise-grade security.

5. Third-Party AI Providers

Interview Cursor uses third-party AI models (OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) to generate responses. When your interview data is sent to these providers for processing:

  • Data is encrypted in transit.
  • We use API agreements that prohibit these providers from using your data for model training.
  • Data is processed and immediately discarded by these providers in accordance with their enterprise API data policies.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns and improve our website. These analytics cookies do not track your interview sessions or personal interview data. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. Data Retention

  • Account data (name, email) is retained as long as your account exists.
  • Payment records are retained for legal and tax compliance purposes for a period of 7 years.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data we hold (account information).
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing (by deleting your account).

9. Children’s Privacy

Interview Cursor is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an in-app notification).
